This is my bike now. My church class surprised me with it last year. So I participated in the Austin Capitol 10k. This picture is from last year, this year I took it a little easer. This is what the Austin Statesman reported.
"Rich Byrd, a wheelchair competitor, was the first person to appear on 15th Street as it turned into Enfield Road. As he huffed and puffed on the long agonizing hill, he said to himself "C'mon, c'mon, push it." Another wheelchair racer, Clint Logue, took it easier, stopping and eating a doughnut a spectator gave him."
I doubled my time this year and still came in last place again.

You're All World, Clint! Gotta love an athlete who will stop for a doughnut!
Did it have sprinkles I like sprinkles...
good job man, wished we could have hooked up.
Clint - I tried sharing the work with a guy in a wheel-chair bike (zat what they're called?) just last week - it was DANG windy, so we were drafting one another. I was surprised that drafting off him was as helpful as it was, I was sure that he was sitting too low to have an effect. And he was WAY more steady in speed than most conventional cyclists I've ridden with. Don't know if that was the bike or the rider, but when you're riding on a guy's wheel at 22 mph, you appreciate a steady speed!!!
BTW, we'd LOVE to have your inputs at CyclingGeeksUnite.blogspot.com! Not that I'm plugging another site here, but it's for cyclists, and now that I learn you're one, you need to be there ;-)
oh man, Clint, I've been wanting a good nickname for you and "cyclinggeek" is sounding like a possibility.
btw, I love a guy who can take a totally healthy outing and turn it into a grazing opportunity. You rock!
athlete (foot), no sprinkles (just pure fried sugar), handcycle (lots of upper body strength, what ever), i am a biker.
Clint is a biker punk...:)
I love you!!
Biker geek, hmmm..., doesn't have the same ring to it. sorry.
I'm bringing my bike to Abilene in two weeks you better be ready.
happy, bring donuts
you must have heard about Round Rock donuts? :)
Happy, I worked in Round Rock while going to UT in the early 80’s. I do not remember any donuts but I do remember a painted rock.
Elisabeth, thanks. krispy kreme smell better than flowers.
donuts rule. glad you have your priorities in order.
Gee. Y'all make me wish I liked donuts.
thanks glenn
joyce, how can you not like fried bread covered in sugar?
Fried and sugar don't go together in my mind. Now, french fries are another story completely. I'm addicted to those. :-)
especially if you dip them in mayonnaise
mayonnaise..oh that is sick..I hate mayonnaise...
How the heck did mayo get involved in the picture...
for joyce's fries
stop it that is sick..
they're better with ranch dressing. for the record.
at WingStop http://www.wingstop.com/
Clint, you can put Mayo on your chips when you come to our house ... not one of my favourite condiments for the taters, BUT that's what they do here.
(And we have Krispy Kremes here, very close by!)
You are a hero!
Interesting that you brought up wingstop. If Geoff were going to own a franchise, it would be that one. I would own a Pappadeaux.
deb, i love hero's especially when the lamb is tender. i have met your folks, i have filled in for the 39ers class and i think that is where i met them. Will look for you in Nov.
No WingStop in Michigan. Should I drive to Indiana? (How good are their fries?)
I'm afraid there's no need to talk about mayo for my fries. All I want is fried potato and salt. :-)
