Are we searching for the truth?
.
Does a homeless person in America have all God promised?
.
.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:25-34

I think it is possible for a homeless person to have all that God has promised. I say that with the disclaimer that I don't believe that the "American Dream" is what God has in mind for us. I don't think a right relationship with God really depends on our external circumstances.

God has given us salvation through his son... what else do we need? I know I sure do WANT a lot more things but God has offered me what I need. I just have to take it and love it.

Hey Clint...

I am well, though I have had a few encounters with grace these past few days that have been somewhat humbling. I hope you know what I speak of. Also, when it comes to what I expect... If you call yourself Christian, I almost expect a higher standard of authenticity. I don't expect perfection, but authenticity... but it's sad that we've allowed Christian Subculture to separate us so far from the culture God has put us in... You know what I mean?

blast. Somehow Matthew 6:33 is following me around.

Now, I won't get into the homeless issue, because I know far too much about it, but yet far too little. God knew people would be homeless and you'll notice there is no natural home for man, it is all built from materials. Matthew 8:20:

Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head
